Forever Embraced (A Poem)
Forever Embraced Why…
Many of us would ask,
But it is hard for us to understand,
When it is something we cannot grasp.
Love was always there for you,
No matter what it was…
That you would choose to do,
A sturdy figure of brilliant days,
Now it’s hard to see…
Through all the cloudy haze,
You were here,
For all of us to see,
But why is it now…
That you are gone, like the breeze?
Your sons will always wonder,
Where their daddy’s gone,
But we will try to help him,
Always to remember you were strong,
Tears come rolling down,
The rest of us for life,
Now marked with your remembrance,
Walking now with strife,
Your memory will always hold true,
We have all always known…
How much we loved you,
Through the darkened skies,
That now lay ahead,
We hope to find comfort,
In these words that are said,
You will not be forgotten,
And will be missed so much…
Now is goodbye,
As we no longer feel your touch,
But we will always think of you,
And look up to the sky,
Praying you are safe,
Within forever love.
